Our Mission Trips & Pilgrimages to Malta
At the heart of the Mediterranean is the Maltese archipelago only 60 miles south of Sicily. From its first inhabitants, who built the colossal temples 7000 years ago, the Phoenicians, Romans, St. Paul bringing the faith to the Maltese and the 268-year rule of the Knights of St. John, Malta was an impressive island and it still is today. So many centuries later, Malta is a very special place thanks to the warmth of it’s people, who radiate the typical Mediterranean spontaneity and joy in life. As you step into its history, you step into the timeless charm of a truly unique Catholic country. Looking for a mission trip or pilgrimage to Malta? We invite your group to experience their faith in a very special way that connects you to those who have gone before us; the third oldest pilgrimage in Christendom. We will work with you to create an unforgettable experience on The Way to Santiago de Compostela. The Way is a very special journey through beautiful rolling hills, ancient shrines, medieval cities, magnificent churches and cathedrals, Eucharistic miracles and the lush green of Celtic Galicia. What our pilgrims are saying:
"Some of my favorite experiences on the Malta trip were only made possible for me by my tour guides, Esther and Bill. Not only did they enrich us with their knowledge on the island of Malta throughout the entirety of our bus rides, but they also made it possible for us to experience a mass in St. Paul's Catacombs, to delve into the ruins of a Roman bathhouse, and to explore several other historic Maltese sites that were otherwise not normally opened to the public. Esther and Bill's cheerfulness carried our group throughout the week we were there, and allowed us to experience much more of Malta than your average tourist would ever have seen."
Mary Margaret Olohan,"During my senior year of high school, I was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit Malta over the summer with my classmates. This was in no small part due to the efforts of Bill and Esther Williams. The Williams were brilliant in finding us a place to stay for our visit as well as planning some of the local events. Esther went even as far as to negotiate the price of a horse and carriage ride for myself and three of my friends. Bill was full of info and insight about the history of the island and led us to beautiful places such as the breath taking Azure Window. Together they helped make an already amazing experience an unforgettable one."
