As of May 2025, Americans, Canadians, Australians will need to apply online for travel authorization for Europe.

• The program is called ETIAS. Some refer to it as “visa for Europe “ it is not a traditional visa, but needs basic details about the traveler and their trip. • Approval will be sent by email within one (1) hour, but could be up to four (4) days. (www.ETIAS.com)
• Once granted, it is valid for many trips over three (3) years or until passport expires
• The length of stay in Europe for US tourists (90 days within a 180-day period) remains unchanged.
• Our understanding is that the application will be simple and it must be done online.
• One must have an email address.
• The exact start date, or, when one will be able to apply is still unknown.
• This must be secured by the traveler directly with the EITAS Travel System without the involvement of Medseas LLC.

 

For those who hold a passport from a foreign country, please be advised that it is the passenger’s responsibility to reconfirm if any visas are required. Below please find embassy information on the country you will be visiting.

PLEASE NOTE: A valid passport is required, and it must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. It is the traveler’s sole responsibility to obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents. All guests are advised to check with the appropriate government authority in each country visited to determine the necessary documents. At times, a hotel or cruise vessel may require you to hold your passport. When and if a visa or visa waiver is required, it is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain one.  Medseas LLC’ owner, agent, and employees cannot be held liable for clients not having proper passports, visa, visa waiver, or other travel documents. Cancellations due to a lack of appropriate documents will incur usual penalties. A passport card is not useful for international air travel. Attempting to use this instead of a passport book will result in a denial of boarding by the airlines and entry by the legal authorities.

DEPOSITS, PAYMENT TERMS & CANCELLATIONS:

A deposit of $400.00 per person is due upon confirmation and is fully refundable within 14 days of the payment. After 14 days, the deposit is non-refundable for any reason (exception – can be applied to a transfer to another tour within the same calendar year). In addition to the deposit, there are two additional payments before the final payment. A payment of $1,000 to be made two months after deposit and an aditional payment of $500 four months after deposit date.(date is set according to your pilgrimage schedule). Full payment is required 90 days before the pilgrimage. If you sign up for a pilgrimage less than 90 days before departure, the entire tour price must be paid and the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations received 90 days or more before tour start date incur loss of deposit and 30% of package price. Cancelations within 60 days to start of tour – there will be no refunds (exceptions: see medical or family emergencies). MEDSEAS LLC, does not agree to provide any services until full payment is received. Cancellations must be communicated in writing or email and the effective date is the date received. If a payment is returned for any reason, it will incur a $45 returned check fee and will be added to the tour balance. Checks should be made payable to “MEDSEAS LLC.”

 

PRICES:

Tour prices are based on currency rates, tariffs and ground costs in effect August, 2024 at the time of tour quotation. Rates are subject to change without notice. Those who have made payment in full WILL NOT incur any additional increases. If fewer if fewer participants than the minimum set for the tour, a price adjustment will be necessary.

 

TOUR CANCELLATION BY OPERATOR:

Be advised that from time to time a tour departure may be cancelled due to lack of participation. In such case, the operator’s sole responsibility is to provide a full refund. MEDSEAS LLC, is not responsible and does not assume responsibility for any additional costs or any fees relating to the issuance and /or cancellation of air tickets. Cancellations due to state advisories and/or state warnings, Acts of War, War, Terrorism, Acts of God, Natural Disaster or any other circumstance outside the control of MEDSEAS LLC, are not the fault of MEDSEAS LLC. We will make every effort to accommodate to another trip or to revise itinerary, however, cancellation for any of these reasons will not be eligible for refund.

 

Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended

 

CANCELLATION INSURANCE:

MEDSEAS LLC, is not responsible or liable for loss, damage, theft of luggage or personal belongings, personal injury, accidents, illnesses, COVID or trip cancellation. For your protection we suggest that you purchase adequate travel insurance to cover these eventualities and cost of your tour. We recommend

PASSPORTS:

All tour members must have a valid passport with expiration date at least 6 months after traveling dates per each participant.

REFUNDS:

During the tour are granted subject to the following: If illness or serious emergency compels you to leave the tour, a refund for unused services will be granted (minus deposit) upon presentation of written documentation within 30 days of completion of tour. Refunds for opting out of meals/sightseeing are not granted.

TRANSFERRING TO ANOTHER TOUR:

We understand at times there can be changes in plans. Up to 90 days prior to your tour’s departure, you can transfer to any other MEDSEAS LLC tour in the same calendar year with available space, applying your existing deposit, payments and with no transfer fee. If you transfer to a different tour, the price of that tour will be applied, effective on the date we confirm your transfer. Transfers less than 60 days before your tour’s departure may not be possible.

ABSENCE:

The absence/no show of any participant in the tour, without prior written cancellation, will carry the total loss of the full amount of the tour.

TRANSFERS:

Transportation is included as per itinerary for those arriving/departing on same day and stipulated times of tour dates. Those participants arriving/departing earlier/later or who fail to provide flight arrival information are responsible for their own transfers to/from the hotel.

HOTELS:

The tour price is based on shared accommodation in twin rooms (there are some king/queen beds) with private shower or bath. A limited number of single rooms are available at full price or single supplement. Tour participants without a roommate will have to pay the single rate. MEDSEAS LLC, reserves the right to substitute hotels of a similar category if necessary..

SEQUENCE OF TOUR:

Right is reserved to vary the sequence of sightseeing programs or to make substitutions if necessitated by circumstances beyond our control.

CAPABILITIES:

While the pacing of MEDSEAS tours varies by itinerary, all participants should be in good physical and mental health. The participant understands and accepts that walking is required at times to entries of historic sites, hotels or other venues. Also, roads tend to be narrow and winding, and can make it impossible for buses to drive up. In these cases, participants must be able to walk. MEDSEAS LLC, asks that you plan to travel with a companion if you require assistance.

The participant understands that at any time MEDSEAS LLC, reserves the exclusive right to accept or decline continued participation to any persons, without any claims or complaints by you against us, if in its judgment the said person’s behavior is causing disturbance or hazard to themselves, or any other participant/s, or to MEDSEAS LLC.

LUGGAGE:

Baggage is at owner’s risk at all times throughout the tour..

PHOTOGRAPHY:

MEDSEAS LLC may take photos or videos during tour sequences and tour participants grant express permission for MEDSEAS LLC, to use for promotional or commercial use.

ENROLLMENT in and payment for the tour constitutes your acceptance of the conditions, and statement of responsibility. The conditions become a binding contract when your enrollment and payment are received and accepted by MEDSEAS LLC. Venue for any disputes is Warren County, Virginia. The laws of the State of Virginia shall govern this contract.

UNFORESEEN MEDICAL or FAMILY EMERGENCY:

MEDSEAS LLC will refund a portion of your tour payment only upon the following qualifying unforeseen medical or family emergency events. You, travel partner or a family member: unforeseeable and disabling injury or illness requiring hospitalization or urgent medical, dies or suffers an unforeseeable and disabling injury or illness requiring hospitalization or urgent medical care. Home floods or burns down/you are a victim of a serious crime, a certifiable personal disaster requiring a change in travel plans. Military Service: called into active military service/have leave canceled.

MEDSEAS, LLC will not refund your tour payments in any amount under these circumstances:

Carrier-related delays, personal problems/difficulties that are not medically disabling, business problems/emergencies, inability to obtain a passport/visa/other travel-related document, alcohol or substance abuse, personal injuries related to high-risk activities and other non-qualifying reasons.

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RESPONSIBILITY:

MEDSEAS LLC, and its associated companies agree to provide the itinerary described and this represents the entire agreement between the passenger, the tour host, and the tour operator. MEDSEAS LLC, reserves the right to change or withdraw the tour, in whole or in part at any time. In the event of rescheduling of the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, the tour cancellation clause will apply. The tour operator assumes no liability or responsibility for any injuries, inconveniences, illness, irregularity or incidental damages occasioned by circumstances beyond the control of the tour operator, or by any person or reason whatsoever, including but not limited to events such as state warnings, strikes, terrorism, revolts, acts of war, wars, natural disasters, closures of airports or hotels, default or omission of and by any third party providing services or facilities related to or included in this tour or any part thereof, or in arranging for the same, or the acts or omissions of the travel agent or tour host.

TOUR OPERATORS’S RELATIONSHIP TO TOUR HOST:

MEDSEAS LLC, of Front Royal, Virginia, acts as agent for you in the making and securing of all arrangements for transportation, for sightseeing or for hotel accommodations for the tour program. MEDSEAS LLC does not own, manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle, any hotel or restaurant or any other supplier of services.

By utilizing the service you agree that neither MEDSEAS LLC affiliates or representatives shall be liable for any loss, injury or damage in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences beyond its control, including breakdown in equipment, strikes, theft, delay or cancellations of or changes in itinerary or schedules, etc.

MEDSEAS LLC will conform to the legal requirements for entry into any country MEDSEAS LLC has a tour.
